Update Lead Status

Purpose

Lead status shows where each enquiry stands in the admission journey. Use it to keep your team informed and to track whether a lead is new, contacted, interested, not interested, or converted.

Steps

Step 1

Open the lead record that you want to update.

Step 2

Find the current status field on the lead details page.

Step 3

Choose the correct status based on the latest discussion, such as New, Contacted, Interested, Demo Scheduled, Not Interested, or Admitted.

Step 4

Add a short note explaining the reason for the status change and save the record.

Tips

  • Keep status names consistent so reports remain accurate.
  • Do not leave old leads marked as New after the first call.
  • If a student joins, update the status before starting the admission process.
